I’m a queer, neurodivergent theatre-maker based in London, born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia. My passion for movement began at age four when I begged my parents to take me to ballroom dance classes. After nearly a decade of dancing, I transitioned to theatre, where I discovered a way to blend movement with storytelling.
I run movement workshops for actors and non-actors, encouraging intuitive physicality and expressive freedom. Drawing from techniques by Michael Chekhov and Jacques Lecoq, I explore movement as a psychophysical practice that is both safe and sustainable.
Currently, I am directing a play about two young women navigating the world of queer dating, which will be performed at The Golden Goose Theatre (May 20–22) and The Hope Theatre as part of Camden Fringe (August 7–10).
As an engaging and experienced workshop leader, I specialize in drama workshops for adults, helping participants develop confidence, communication skills, and self-expression through storytelling, movement, and play. My interactive and immersive sessions are designed to ignite curiosity and joy in everyone involved.
One of my greatest strengths is creating safe and empowering environments where individuals feel comfortable taking creative risks. Whether they are seasoned performers or complete beginners, I ensure that each participant feels encouraged, valued, and capable of reaching their full potential.
Drawing primarily from Lecoq, Feldenkrais, and Michael Chekhov techniques, I am always eager to explore new approaches that enhance the learning experience. My commitment to lifelong learning allows me to adapt my methods continuously, ensuring that every workshop is enriching and tailored to the needs of my participants.
I believe in inclusive and accessible teaching. I have worked with diverse groups, including individuals on the autism spectrum and those with limited physical abilities. Through kinesthetic, auditory, and visual techniques, I ensure that every learner feels included and engaged.
Adaptable, reliable, and team-oriented, I thrive in dynamic environments and can easily adjust to different needs while delivering high-quality, structured sessions. I value collaboration and love being part of a team that shares my enthusiasm for making learning exciting and accessible for everyone.
I am a visual artist, not a theatre or movement practitioner, but I feel 100% at home in Ksenia's movement sessions. As a facilitator, they are brilliant at shaping a space in which you can get in touch not only with what your body is feeling but also what your body wants to discover that day. I do not have a background in theatre, but Ksenia leads Chekhov technique in a way that feels accessible and exciting. Their sessions are one of the few times each week where I feel in tune with my body and able to listen to what it needs. Thank you, Ksenia!
Ksenia’s movement session was an incredibly freeing experience. Through her unique blend of Michael Chekhov and Lecoq techniques, we explored movement by embodying the essence of a rose and the innocence of a baby. The exercises helped me connect deeply with my body, my surroundings, and the people around me. I walked away feeling more open, expressive, and with a new tool to bring softness, romance, or childlike qualities into my acting work.
Ksenia has made practices I learned at drama school make more sense now than they did then. There is clear dedication to finding paths into techniques that aren’t always taught in an open and accessible way. She encourages comfort without losing the need for bravery and risk and facilitates in a way that is not only helpful for me as a performer but also for moving through daily life.
